The short version
A 24-hour Copenhagen Card Discover costs DKK 589 for an adult. Four of the big attractions near Nyhavn, Rosenborg, the National Museum, the Royal Reception Rooms and Designmuseum Danmark, cost DKK 590 together at full price, so the card only pays off when you fit in four big ones or about six smaller ones in a day. The canal tour from Nyhavn is not included: the Netto boats cost DKK 80, and the card only covers Stromma's tour from Ved Stranden.

The canal tour from Nyhavn is not included
The Netto boats sail from Nyhavn, and they are not part of the Copenhagen Card; an adult ticket costs DKK 80. The card covers Stromma's canal tour, but only from Ved Stranden 26, a ten-minute walk from Nyhavn. If you board somewhere else, for example in Nyhavn, Copenhagen Card says there is a surcharge. See canal tours from Nyhavn.

When does the card pay off?
With 24 hours you need to visit attractions worth more than DKK 589. With the big museums at DKK 140–150 that is four in a day, with the smaller ones at around DKK 100 it is six. The longer the card, the cheaper the day: for three days the card costs DKK 346 per day, and then three big museums a day is enough. If you use the metro and buses, including to the airport, transport is included in the Discover card and counts in the sum.
Not included, even though they are close to Nyhavn: the Round Tower (Rundetårn), the dome of the Marble Church and the Royal Danish Theatre's guided tours. Davids Samling and Kastellet are free for everyone.
Prices and rules are from copenhagencard.com, and entry prices are from the attractions' own websites, checked 10 October 2026. Walking times are measured as walking routes in OpenStreetMap from Nyhavn 1. VisitNyhavn is independent and gets nothing for mentioning the card.
Is the Copenhagen Card worth it?
Only if you fit enough in. A 24-hour card costs DKK 589 for an adult, and four big attractions near Nyhavn (Rosenborg, the National Museum, the Royal Reception Rooms and Designmuseum Danmark) cost DKK 590 together. For three days the card costs DKK 346 per day.
Is the canal tour from Nyhavn included in the Copenhagen Card?
No. The Netto boats that sail from Nyhavn are not included (DKK 80 for an adult). The card covers Stromma's canal tour from Ved Stranden 26, and if you board in Nyhavn there is a surcharge.
Is public transport included in the Copenhagen Card?
Yes, in the Discover card: metro, bus, S-train, regional trains and harbour bus in the whole Capital Region (zones 1–99), including to and from the airport. The HOP card has no public transport.
