Beyond its famous colorful facades, Nyhavn home to several cultural and historical attractions. From contemporary art exhibitions at Kunsthal Charlottenborg to the historic Memorial Anchor and preserved wooden ships, there is much to explore.
Nyhavn itself is the attraction: the colourful house row on the sunny side (odd numbers), the wooden-ship museum along the quay, and the photo motif the canal gives from the corner at Kongens Nytorv. The shortest tour is to walk the whole strip — 6 minutes.
Within 10 minutes' walk: Amalienborg (the royal family's winter residence, changing of the guard at 12:00), Kongens Nytorv (the Royal Theatre), the Little Mermaid (15 min along the harbour). We're expanding this page with detailed profiles for each — coming soon.

Nyhavn is a single 400 m canal with houses on both sides. The sunny side (odd numbers) is the colourful row with most of the activity; the shade side (even numbers) is quieter. Numbers match the round-up above.
Nyhavn 1 → 71 · approx. 6 minutes end to end on foot.
Nyhavn itself — walk from Kongens Nytorv to the harbour end, look at the colourful houses on the sunny side, photograph the wooden ships. That's the whole point.
15 minutes' walk along the harbour via Amalienborg and Kastellet. She's a small statue, smaller than expected — but the walk itself is pleasant.
